History

BOOMR was launched on the 17th of may 2006 in the Netherlands. The founder is Maurice Brand, who is now active as your community manager. Since the 1st of august 2007 the U.K. website is in the air. The U.K. is only the second country where BOOMR was introduced.

BOOMR has very good ears: Not only do we know which new artists will make it big, we also listen very carefully to the members of the website when they have ideas to make the website better.

Our Mission

BOOMR wants to make sure that..

• U.K. artists can communicate better & easier with fans, in a fun way.
• Music fans (a.k.a.: listeners) can discover new music artists with friends.
• Listeners find new friends to visit shows with.
• Podcasting becomes more popular in the U.K. and that podcasters and artists promote each other towards listeners.
• New friendships are created between artists, listeners and podcasters.

Website development

The technical development of BOOMR was taken care of by Webnamics, a Romanian internet company. They created the technical functionalities and made sure the website will load fast and perform perfect.
